I just got done watching “Clash of the Titans”. It was a great show that was full of fighting and all kinds of action. This is the story of the demi-god Perseus and how he was to defeat the Kraken. As the story goes Hades is trying to overthrow Zues and take over the world for himself. The humans have started to disobey the gods and try to put themselves in control. Hades convinces Zeus to let him release the Kraken on the humans to regain control over them.
The demi-god Perseus is the only one that is capable of defeating this beast. However Perseus hates the gods for what they did to the family that raised him. Even though he is half god and half man, he cannot stand his real father Zeus or any of the gods. Throughout his journey he keeps denying that he is part god and will not accept Zeus’s help with his quest. He tries to do everything on his own but eventually realizes that he has to embrace the god side of him. He uses the tools Zeus gave him like a special sword and a Pegasus. In the end Perseus defeats the Kraken and saves the humans.
I think we can take away a good lesson from this movie. And that is that we should embrace other’s help and not try to do everything on our own. Without the help of friends or mentors we can hardly accomplish anything. But if we do come together and use each others strengths we can overcome anything.
Yeah this movie is pretty awesome. I love Greek mythology and how it all ties into real life. This movie in particular talks a lot about revenge. I feel that revenge is neccesary, especially when it deals to family. If somebody harms your family, then it is your duty as a human being to defend them. It's a natural emotion and Perseus was justified in what he was doing.
